Our story

Bay Events is a Bellingham & Lummi Island based planning company that specializes in sustainably-minded and laid-back weddings and events through a focus on locally grown food and flowers.

I offer clients design direction, logistical management, creative partner match making, venue scouting and all the other expertise and experience it takes to produce a warmly remembered event.


Teri stumbled her way into the world of events a decade ago when she began coordinating a new venue build from the ground up alongside developing a farm-to-table catering program and fine tuning a farmer-florist design studio. For the past five years she has been producing events at one of New England’s most sought after venues. Having returned to her roots in the Pacific Northwest in 2023 she’s excited to help couples plan their celebrations so they can focus on time spent in the mountains and on the water.

Prior to planning weddings Teri worked in the outdoor industry around New England. She held certifications as a WFR and in kayak touring, river canoeing and back country travel. She’s so happy to be able to call Lummi Island home with her rescue pup Aggie.
